You Make It Feel Like Christmas by Toni Shiloh
You Make It Feel Like Christmas by Toni Shiloh doesn’t lack in providing those comfy Christmas feels. From family dinners with family and friends to Christmas festivities and scenery, this story brims with Holiday joy readers will love.
Starr Lewis finds herself coming home for Christmas with the misfortune of being laid off from work and the undying need to keep it a secret. As she struggles with searching for a new job before her family finds out of little predicament, Starr falls for her eldest brother’s best friend, Waylon.
Waylon is a man grieving over the loss of his mom and the new responsibility of running her year-round Christmas shop. Hoping for a distraction, he joins his friend’s family in their Holiday celebrations, where he finds comfort not only in the Lewis family but in Starr.
This republished novel is as good as when I first read it. The cheesy one-liners from Waylon, as he woos Starr, the inevitable sibling drama amongst the festivities, and the pursuit of finding God’s path amid the chaos first drew me to the story and again have me satisfied with a story well told.
As for any and all Christmas lovers, Toni does an excellent job of delivering cheer and joy from the pages to her readers. It will leave you longing to see Christmas lights in DC and asking for a cup of hot chocolate.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
